Our website is hosted on a secure server to protect the information you provide during account creation and checkout. When you create an account with us or checkout, you will notice the URL changes to https, which confirms the page is encrypted through SSL (secure socket layer) technology. Account creation does not require submitting financial or any type of credit card information. Additionally, your sensitive financial information provided during checkout is not stored on our servers, offering an extra layer of protection.

We respect your right to privacy. You can be assured that any contact and shipping information provided to us is stored on our SSL server and is used strictly for transactional purposes between Books and Unusuals and the purchasing party. We do not share or sell personal information with third parties. We do not spam.

We offer a number of options for buyers to make payment through our secure gateways.

We accept most all major credit cards and E-checks through our payment form which will allow you to make a payment to us immediately. All our payment forms will take you off our site to complete payment on secure PCI compliant and safe pages. We have partnered with Google Checkout and Paypal as our choice of payment gateways. If you do not have an account with Google Checkout or Paypal, you can still make payment. Below are the quick and easy steps to make payment without an account.

During checkout, on the paypal page look for the text in the right column that says,

'Pay with debit or credit card if you don't have a paypal account.'.

If you do have an account you can still sign into your account to complete payment.

All E-checks sent will need to clear Paypal before we complete your order.

We do accept US money orders in U.S. dollars only.

Personal Checks-  We do not accept personal checks.
