This edition is beautifully illustrated in b/w and soft, dreamy pastel colors throughout with lots of gilt embellishing. There are 12 full page color illustrations (one has some penciling on it), most having a fancy gilt border. A few examples are shown below.

condition:
The cover is a bit rough with the spine separated from the back cover. The back cover is still attached to the book.� There's soiling and rubbing to the cover with a writing mark and a few scratches on the back. The corners are bumped/frayed.
The pages have some toning and some smudges from little fingers and some having edge wear a few small edge tears, an inscription on the front pastedown, but in general the interior is still nice. The book could be kept as is or the illustrations would be wonderful mounted and framed.

This double dimpled, adorable little Cabbage Patch Doll is up for adoption. She is 16 inches tall with brown eyes and reddish brown hair up in a pony tail.
She has a soft body with head made by Coleco.

She is wearing a blue dress trimmed with white lace and matching bloomers, which has the sewn on cabbage patch kids label. She still has her diaper but the tape is brittle and parts of the tape is broken off.

She has the black "Xavier Roberts" signature on her bottom and the Cabbage Patch Kids label sewn in at the side of her body. On the back of her head it says - Copy R. 1978, 1982 Original Appalachian Art Works Inc. Manufactured by Coleco IND.Inc. 30 2.

She lost one shoe and sock but is wearing the one sock and shoe she could find. She also lost her birth certificate.
She comes in her original box which has a few tears and is intact.
She has been kept in her box in storage and has some age discoloration on her sock and her dress which should wash out with gentle hand washing. She is in very good condition and is hoping she'll be adopted into your Cabbage Patch Kids collection so she won't be lonely anymore.

This is a creamy off white vintage linen table or dresser scarf measuring 46 1/2" x 17".� This linen runner is embroidered with a blue outline stitch border. French knots in brown, a floral wreath of multi-colored flowers done in the raised rose stitch with green leaves done in the lazy-daisy stitch, accent each end of this runner. It is edged with a 1/2" continuous & unseamed scalloped lace border.
There are no holes, rips or tears. There is a barely detectable discoloration which should come out with gentle washing.
Three of the blue outline stitches are broken and the lace edging has some wear. This is a lovely vintage runner in good pre-loved condition.

This is a vintage creamy off white,� linen table or dresser runner measuring 47 1/4" x 18".

Hand embroidered with a blue double outline stitched border. French knots in blue, flowers embroidered in two shades of pink done in the lazy daisy stitch and french knots and green leaves done in the lazy daisy stitch with a blue crisscross basket like pattern, accent each end of this runner.

The runner is edged with a 1/2" continuous & unseamed scalloped lace border.
There are no holes, rips or tears. There are a few tiny very pale spots, not readily noticeable. This is a beautiful vintage runner in great condition.

Special Features of Your Giant Print Reference Bible

This Bible contains the text of the King James Version, originally published in 1611. One characteristic of this version is its use of italics. It is used to indicate words supplied by the editors to help clarify the meaning and better relate the original language into English.

In this edition Read-Along References� and Read-Along Translations� are used to help you understand the text. The Raised "R" beside a word denotes a Read-Along Reference� which lists at the end of the verse other passages which have similar meanings or further bearing on the word or phrase indicated. This method of Bible study ties together the great truths of Scripture. A cross-reference in square brackets (example: [Deut. 12:5]) is a conceptual cross-reference; that is, it refers to a passage similar in concept to the referenced passage in the text.

The Raised "T" beside a word or phrase indicates a Read-Along-Translation�, an easy-to-understand alternate meaning at the end of the verse. When more than one reference or translation is indicated, a center point "�" is used for division.

Mr. Griffin spent a great deal of time in New Bedford and the Cape researching the whaling background of Paradise Street. Includes acknowledgements by name of some of the local folks who helped.

Henry Farrand Griffin also wrote, The White Cockade which was published in 1941.

To come right to the point if you have a kitchen (pullman or otherwise) in your home and are expected to cook in it, but HATE to cook this book is for you. It is such a clever book that no one need ever know how much you do hate to cook. The more than 180 recipes are quick, easy, and tested by other housewives who used to feel hostile to the kitchen. Not only are the recipes as simple as ABC, but they're imaginative as well. Easy meals don't have to be dull, and Peg Bracken proves it.

In addition to the recipes, there is lots of sound�and very amusing�advice about kitchen problems. Peg Bracken discusses leftovers ("when in doubt, throw it out"), surefire entrees like Stayabed Stew and Sweep Steak, things to do with vegetables, salads and salad dressings, last-minute meals, potluck suppers, lunches for the girls, children's parties, and dinners to impress people. The recipes are excellent and Peg Bracken is very funny.

A small bowl measuring 5 1/8 in. across� x 1 1/8 in. deep. Marked, Thomas Ivory, Thomas Bavaria, Germany 36. This shield marking was used from 1939 to 1952.

A very pretty unidentified multi-color floral pattern in shades of pink and purple against a cream background. Gold trimmed on the scalloped edge and a gold inner border. With roses and other flowers.

The gold trim around the edges has some wear. There are a few light scratches. There are no cracks or chips. The coloring is bright. A nice addition to your vintage dinnerware set or a lovely trinket bowl for your shabby chic decor.

USS Arkansas BB 33 Navy Crew Photo Framed

This is a panorama photograph of the crew of USS Arkansas BB 33. This is not a print. The photo is framed in a brown wooden frame and is ready for hanging. The frame measures 49 inches x 12.5 inches.
The photo shoot takes place with the crew on board ship and on the dock along side the ship. It is unknown where the ship was docked at the time of this photo.

There is no date on the photo.

Research of visible characteristics of the ship shows this photo may have been taken between late 1930s to early 1940s.

The USS Arkansas (BB-33) was one of the oldest battleships to serve in World War Two. 562 feet long, weighing 27,000 tons, armed with twelve 12 inch guns. A Dreadnought era battleship and was sunk in postwar weapons tests.
Laid down on January 25 1910 at Camden, N.J., by the New York Shipbuilding Co. She was launched on January 14 1911; commissioned at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on September 17 1912 with Capt. Roy C. Smith in command.

It was hard to get pictures without any glare. I have shown the full width along with some closeups. Included is a closeup of some of the officers on of the ship. If anyone recognizes any of them or has any other information feel free to contact me.

The photo does have a 1/2 inch horizontal closed tear at the left edge.

The saucer is trimmed with gold about the scalloped rim and measures 5 5/8 in. across.

No cracks or chips. The gold trim is good, colors bright.

This lovely footed tea cup and saucer set has a pale geen background on white decorated with yellow pansies. Crown Essex Bone China. Made in England.
The cup is trimmed with gold on the rim, body, at the base, handle and interior below the rim. Measures 3 3/8 in. across x 2 5/8 in. high.
The saucer is trimmed with gold about the scalloped rim and the inner ridge. It measures 5 1/2 in. across.

No cracks or chips. There is a tiny 1/8 in. manufacturing flaw which is a rough spot on the saucer rim and has a teeny bit of glaze and gold trim miss.� The gold trim is otherwise good with no wear, colors bright.

This is a colorful vintage linen table runner or dresser scarf hand, embroidered with a flower and butterfly motif in shades of blue, pink, brown, orange, green, pink, red and orange. There's a scalloped border at each end and with criss cross fill stitches. This is machine hemmed with a green, yellow, and white lace which is machine stitched to the runners edge. Measuring 42 in. x 14 ½ in.. This is clean with no holes or tears. One of my favorites.

Has handling use wear and page toning. There are a few small closed page tears. There are two pages that have a part of the fore edge torn off about a half inch from the edge. This missing section is mostly margin but it does take a tiny bit of the text with it. The cover is separated just slightly from the textblock spine but is not detached. The cover has nice coloring. A great old cookbook.
