Our main dealing with books, china and other items is in the collectible, vintage, contemporary and pre-owned condition.

Because examining books involves hundreds of thousands of pages (and more) we cannot possibly inspect on a page by page basis. We do carefully thumb through each book several times and note any observed markings, tears, chips or missing pages before we list them.

If no markings/tears are noted, and because they are pre-owned,� then it is possible we could miss a minor, insignificant and not readily noticeable imperfection.

Our items are stored in a dry, smoke free and pet free environment. However, we buy from many sources and cannot guarantee that they were never exposed to smoke, pets or the elements of storage.

In their day these items were treasured enough by someone who, not wanting to part with them, may have stored them away for safe keeping, often times in a dark closet, an attic or basement. These items, that have been stored for years before seeing the light of day, often have a distinctive "vintage" aroma which sometimes may include a little mustiness. We are around vintage items all day every day and some things may not be as noticeable to us as to someone whose is sensitive. If you have sensitivities to these elements it is recommended that you take this into consideration when making a purchase.

We find these treasures of the past and bring them to you for a new life and a new round of enjoyment.

The information we pass along to you on any item is provided through our own research and is given as accurately as possible, but is not guaranteed to be without error.

Our intentions are to honestly describe items offered to you, always revealing any obvious and noticed markings and imperfections so there are no unpleasant surprises. Your happiness with your purchase is important to us.
